Recycling

At Greenstream Flooring CIC we provide a zero-waste management service by diverting commercial carpet tiles which are supplied from offices, banks and commercial premises from landfill for reuse.

Since 2012 we have reused or recycled 625,000m2 of carpet material 50% of which was given a second-life for community benefit, the rest being recycled in the UK.

How does it work?

We collect, receive, and uplift on-site used carpet tiles.  The first thing you need to do is contact us so we can find out a few more details about your project and the material available.  We do our best to work with you to take back the carpet tiles, once they arrive in our warehouse they are sorted and made available for reuse or recycling.  You will receive certification confirming the volume diverted from landfil.

We have created the below checklist to help you know what to expect from our Take Back service.  For more further information you can download our Recycling brochure.

What does it cost?
The cost of our Take Back service depends on the project and we regualrly review our charges to ensure they are comparable to landfill.  The factors we take into account are the quality and volume of material, transport costs and time-frames, and where relevant uplift.  Please get in contact with us for a quote.
We are also able to offer longer term partnerships, working with you to divert carpet tiles from landfill regularly.  This provides you with a landfill guarantee you can pass onto your clients.  Get in touch with us to discuss this further, call 01443 683123 or email info@gsflooring.org.uk
